Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and subsequently signed a pro-contract for Adidas. In the year 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. A year later Felix earned her first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion for the 200m. In 2007, she was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in each of her events.
